Beach Day Essentials!

Beach Day musts!

My fashion basics!

These are my favorite every day mix and match basics. I literally have several v-necks and go to cardigans. and 2 chambrays. 🙂 With accessories you can dress up or down any of these  outfits. These would be key outfit pieces for any travel adventure, comfortable, cute and classy!  I am a huge statement necklace kind of girl and love throwing on a huge necklace with a simple black v-neck and cute skinny jeans.  The more you can mix the more new outfits you can put together. I have discovered all new outfits in my closet just by mixing two pieces I didn’t originally think about. Get bold, get different and be your self!

Pastel Madness

Pops of pastels
This season is exploding with pastels and personally pastels are not in my color pallet. It washes me out completely and does nothing for me BUT I do love a good pastel mint or purple. So here are some ways to incorporate the pastel trend into your wardrobe this season.  If you are not big into pastels or just want to keep the trend affordable, paint your nails with a your favorite pastel or add a pastel bag or jewelry to your favorite outfit.

Kesha Looks Amazing on Red Carpet in First Post-Rehab Appearance

Kesha is looking amazingly fresh and happy after focusing on herself in rehab for a few months. I commend her for her strength for getting help and staying strong. Below is an article on her first appearance out of rehab.

ABC News’ Daisha Riley reports:
Pop singer Kesha appeared healthy in her first red carpet appearance since finishing two month-stint in rehab to treat an eating disorder.

The “Timber” singer wore a sheer, backless black gown Saturday when she attended the Humane Society of the United States’ 60th anniversary gala.

Kesha Leaves Rehab, ‘Happy to Be Back’

Kesha recently dropped the signature dollar sign from her name and a friend of hers told People magazine that she’s also dropped then negative influences that used to surround her before she sought treatment in rehab.

“Since exiting rehab Kesha has been focusing on her inner strength and practicing self-love – really making sure she’s continuing to follow the rules and guidelines set for her while in rehab,” Patrick Gomez, a reporter for People magazine, told “Good Morning America.”

In January, Kesha’s mother said her daughter’s condition was so bad that doctors said she was lucky to be alive.

Kesha’s Mom on Pop Star’s Eating Disorder: ‘She Almost Died’

Earlier this month, the singer tweeted a photo of herself wearing a T-shirt that read “IMA SURVIVOR.” She also tweeted: “Happy to be back! Feeling healthy & working on tons of new music. I can’t thank my fans enough for all the love & support u have given me.”

Those fans couldn’t be happier to see her back. One fan tweeted: “Glad you’ve completed treatment. Love you can’t wait to hear what you have in store next.”

Howard Bragman, an image expert and ABC News consultant, said everybody is pulling for Kesha to succeed, adding: “She’s also a very powerful role model for a lot of young women who have these kinds of issues.”

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West: Keeping Up with Kimye

by Hamish Bowles | photographed by Annie Leibovitz, April 2014

From London to Paris to Los Angeles, Hamish Bowles joins Kim Kardashian and Kanye West in their quest for world domination—and the perfect wedding dress.

The fast-cooling Los Angeles afternoon air is filled with the scent of eucalyptus and mimosa, the gurgle of water as it tumbles down a fountain wall into a picture-perfect azure pool, the exultant strains of Pharrell Williams’s “Happy,” and a chorus of “Old MacDonald Had a Farm,” performed in unhappy a cappella by Annie Leibovitz and Kris Jenner.

The frantic warblings of this unlikely duo are intended to entertain the geographically named North West, perched between her father, Kanye West, creative polyglot, and his fiancée, North’s mother, Kim Kardashian, cultural phenomenon—or Kimye, as the media has dubbed the telegenic pair while it relentlessly tracks their every move. North (“Kanye’s side of the family calls her Nori,” says Kim) is poised on her mother’s knee, a knee that is currently enveloped in a fall of Lanvin satin the color and consistency of double cream, fashioned by Alber Elbaz into a wedding dress of fifties haute couture magnificence. The dress is a fitting complement to Kim’s voluptuous movie-star beauty, with her flashing Ava Gardner looks and Sophia Loren figure that have helped to establish a new contemporary body paradigm after an era of waifs.

Small wonder that Kim idolizes Elizabeth Taylor, whom she first became aware of as a supportive friend of Michael Jackson. Taylor once lent Kim her Cleopatra cape for a photo shoot, and Kim conducted Taylor’s last interview (by phone and e-mail), about her legendary jewels. “Everything seemed so selfless for her,” Kim remembers. “We talked about the jewelry and how it ultimately didn’t belong to her; she just wanted to help people.” When Taylor’s estate was sold to benefit the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, Kim even acquired some of those jewels herself. She also went to look at Taylor’s house. “It was just so enchanting,” she remembers, “with a garden with really pretty trellises and beautiful roses, but it wasn’t realistic for me to purchase. It only had a one-car garage.”

Although North has inherited her father’s furrowed, quizzical brow, the pretty ten-month-old who is the focus of all this attention seems an island of preternatural serenity in the roiling sea of frenetic activity that is la vie Kimye.

North’s parents have already involved her in their creative lives. “I take pictures of her all the time and dress her up,” says Kim. “I put Kanye’s big chains around her, and I put a little Louis bag and some Jordans, and I was like, ‘What up, Daddy?’ ” Kanye, meanwhile, has made an adorable little stop-frame video of North caught in her natural movements that he’s edited to make it appear as if she’s break-dancing.

“Anybody need anything?” asks the agelessly glamorous, apricot-skinned Kris, fluttering eyelashes as thick, long, and lustrous as a hummingbird’s wings. “Water? Vodka? Get on my train!” she laughs. “Just kidding!” Kris (who, as Kim notes, “goes by the name of Lovey, not Grandma!”) is an astute businesswoman and an executive producer of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, now in its eighth season. Her home office is stacked with Kardashian product and magazine spreads—there is even a framed copy of her estranged husband Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner’s 1979 GQ cover.

When Kim was an impressionable little girl, she remembers, her fashion-mad mom “would always wear really tight—she was into Vicky Tiel, Moschino, or Chanel—with huge Moschino heart earrings. She had an amazing body and was always so in shape. One time Kourtney and I sat in my mom’s closet—we must’ve been eight or nine—and we were like, ‘If Mom dies, we’re going to write down who gets what.’ We went through every last piece of her wardrobe. We were so mean then!”

Personal obsessions… that I love to repeat.

These have been some of my favorites of summer.

1. Major girl time. Cocktails and tanning.

2. I love this red dress. I have one in blue with a cross back. It’s Forever 21 and under $12 bucks. It’s very comfortable with a cotton stretch. I received a lot of compliments and you can switch up the look with different belts.

3. Little black dress LOVE! $15 from Forever21 with a cross back. I have dressed this up and down. Bold necklace and cute pumps or a good wedge and a denim Chambray shirt.

4. My cuban hat that I picked up at the local swap meet. yes, I love the swap meet. I use to be a snob and refuse and then I broke down and fell in love. Ill make a post of some Swap meet favs.  Also those sunnies I am wearing  were a last-minute purchase at H&M .For a total of $3 bucks. I love them bold with a little cat eye flare.

5. In the same trip at H&M, I picked up this fringe bikini. I had shopped for MONTHS and of course the bikini that is $10 is that one that stole my heart. Every time I wear it, I receive compliments and “where did you get that?”

6. Then my Boyfriend. He is a total mans man who loves wearing basketball shorts and old t-shirts. We had a wedding to attend so it was time for him to get out of those shorts lol. We picked up some light weight slacks from Target. He fights everything, when it comes to outfits and he instantly loved them. $27 for great slacks and a very happy girlfriend.
